FAQs

🔹 How long will it take?
Most reports are completed within 10–14 working days from receiving full information. If you need something faster, an express service (5 working days) is available for an additional fee (subject to availability).
🔹 Do I need a full heritage statement?
Not always. If your project is in a conservation area or affects a listed building, the NPPF (para 207) requires a proportionate heritage assessment. I can advise whether a full statement, a shorter letter, or something else would be appropriate.
🔹 Can you liaise with my architect or planning consultant?
Absolutely. I regularly work alongside agents, architects, and case officers to ensure the heritage report fits neatly into the wider planning application.
🔹 Do you work nationally?
Yes — I work remotely and cover projects across the UK. All research is desk-based using authoritative sources like the Historic Environment Record, National Heritage List, and historic maps.
🔹 What do you need from me to start?
A short description of the proposed works, the site address or planning reference, and any existing plans, photos, or agent contact details. I’ll take it from there and confirm what level of assessment is needed.

Thank you

I know heritage can be frustrating, especially for small projects, but it doesn’t have to be. My goal is to make the process easier, clearer, and fairer for homeowners, agents, and small developers alike.
